When you turn your computer on, and you get one of these 3 error messages ‘error loading operating system,’ ‘missing operating system,’ or ‘invalid partition table,’ you could have a problem with you overall operating system. I recently got one of those errors on my computer and since I’m not a computer genius by any stretch of the imagination, I knew that I needed to call someone who knew what they were talking about. I picked up the phone and called the computer repair man from the coportae office that I work for. I told him what my problem was and he told me that I would probably need to run the fixmbr from my recovery console. Since I had no idea what he was talking about, he came down and took a look at my machine. True to his work, the fixmbr command and his expertise combined fixed my computer!
