How to Read Guitar Tabs Made My Daughters Play the Guitar

Both of my daughters play the flute and keyboard. They are excellent at the flute and medium on the keyboard. They will listen to me play the electric guitar and when I do, they wish they could play. I have taught them how to read guitar tabs and they can now "pick" at the guitar. The flute practice takes up most of their time, because they both play the flute in school. The keyboard is just for fun and now the guitar is just for fun. They have different tastes in music than I do, and have purchased their own guitar tab.
