Their are alot of great things you can buy these days to protect yourself. You can buy batons that expand and retract but have powerful striking power if your being attacked, or you can go with the 50 thousand volt tasers to instantly drop even a 300 pound person to the ground long enough for you to get away. Their are also sonic protection devices that will put out a piercing sound that will not only scare the person trying to attack you but it will alert people around you that your being attacked, mugged or robbed. A combination of these things is best.
