The American Red Cross is the United States’ premier emergency response association. It was established in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton to render charitable care to the casualties of war and helping victims of shocking disasters by nature.

As time passes by, the American Red Cross’ service expanded by adding compassionate services in five (5) more branches such as the following: “(1) community services that help those who are in need (2) help and comfort for military members and their families (3) the compilation, processing and allocation of lifesaving blood and blood merchandises (4) educational programs that promote health & security (5) and international assistance and expansion programs.”
