Selling your home

My husband’s company is moving, and we might have to sell our home in the near future. Before that happens, I want to fix up the house a little bit to make it more attractive to prospective buyers. I am wondering what the most effective improvements are to increase the value of my house. We are obviously going to fill in the dings in the walls and paint over the rooms, but what other changes should we make? Does the home decor really make a difference? Is it better to update the bathroom or the kitchen? Should we try to improve the landscaping outside or is it not worth the extra money?
