Supplements can be described as nutritional or food preparations purposely made to provide nutrients such as minerals, vitamins, and proteins that are not naturally consumed from one’s diet . Supplements can be seen as food and at same time viewed as drugs and they usually contain components of herbs and hormones. Dietary supplements include such supplements as amino acids, energy drinks, probiotics, body building supplements, herbal supplements, fatty acids , and whole food supplements. Some supplements do include genetic and scientifically modified animal tissues which are being used to treat serious human defects that can not be cured by conventional drugs and herbs.
