Sciatica: A Pain in the Back!

My husband had a herniated disk in his back which caused a moderate case of sciatica back pain. He had a pinching feeling in his low back along with a burning sensation and a shooting pain right down to his foot. I’m not sure which of the two caused him more pain, to tell you the truth. His doctor prescribed him an anti-inflammatory medication to help with the pain. When that did not seem to help enough, he took an anti-depressant for a time. It seems strange, but that did help him with the sciatica pain. Once physical therapy helped resolved the herniated disk in his back, the sciatica cleared up too, and now he’s back to himself again.
