Registered Nurses Make Up Largest Health Care Occupation

May 28th, 2008 by admin

There are over two million current nursing jobs with over fifty percent of them being in the hospital setting. The growth rate of nursing jobs is expected to rise much faster than jobs in most all other occupation sectors. This is not expected to be the case, however, in the hospital industry due to shorter hospital stays and increasing outpatient procedures. As a result of more and more procedures that once were done in hospitals being moved to outpatient doctor’s offices the highest growth rate of nursing jobs is projected to be in doctor’s clinics and in the home health care services sectors. Overall, rn jobs prospects continue to be excellent.
