The IVA Taught Me to Use Cash
December 29th, 2008 by admin
The new car was the first major purchase I made after college. Of course I could not afford to buy it outright so I obligated myself for five years of payments. In order to keep the car filled with gasoline and also to service it regularly I needed to take out a credit card. Once I had the credit card it became so much easier to use the plastic than to carry the cash in my pocket. Suddenly there was no more cash anywhere. Everything I made was owed before I saw the money. It took an IVA to get my head above the surface again. Now I pay for everything with cash when I have it available.
