Christian Cross Tattoo Designs

I am not naive enough to believe that Christianity was the first religion or culture to use crosses as a symbol within their group. However, I still hold this symbol close to my heart as it does represent my deeply held beliefs. I would like to see cross tattoo designs that look uniquely Christian, but without them actually being a Crucifix, which includes a picture of Jesus Christ on the cross. I am not sure if this is even possible. Is there anything that would make the cross appear more Christian as opposed to tribal? I also don’t want something too plain. I have a feeling I am going to have to compromise somewhere in order to get what I want.
