    Writing About DJ Mixing

    May 29th, 2010 by admin

As a writer, I get to cover all sorts of topics that I would never have learned about any other way. Right now I’m writing a piece on DJs, and doing research for it has been really interesting. The last guy talked to explained to me all about DJ mixing, and about what it takes to really play to a crowd. It was fascinating, and I see now that being a DJ is more than just looking good and playing good music – it’s a lot of work. I love my job, but writing this piece has made me wonder if I missed my calling as a musician!
